ICYMI – Lainey Wilson takes home a huge prize at the Country Music Association Awards.

On Thursday in Nashville, Tennessee, Lainey Wilson shone on the red carpet at the People’s Choice Country Music Awards. The vocalist of “Bell Bottom Country” won Female Artist of 2023 over competitors like Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert.

Wilson wore a silver sequined button-up shirt with matching flared pants, and she accessorized with a gold chain belt with charms of a cross and a heart. She finished off her look with a sparkly box purse and added stacked statement necklaces, cocktail rings, and a suede cowboy hat. Juli Wilson and Jeri Hines, two stylists, dressed Wilson.

The vocalist had mauve-pink lipstick, rosy blush, and purple eyeshadow on. Her dirty blond hair was worn in waves.

Wilson’s self-titled debut album was released in 2014, but her 2019 song “Things a Man Oughta Know” propelled her into the Billboard top 40. Two years later, Wilson won the titles of New Female Artist of the Year and Song of the Year from the Academy of Country Music. “Bell Bottom Country,” her most recent album, was released in October 2022.

Wilson expanded his career into acting, joining the cast of “Yellowstone” in 2022. The popular Western series by Taylor Sheridan, starring Kevin Costner, is broadcast on Paramount Network.

At the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 28, the first-ever People’s Choice Country Music Awards will be presented. The newest awards program, which is hosted by Little Big Town, recognizes the biggest names in country music. The People’s Choice Country Music Awards will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock.
