Lainey Wilson, a country singer, looks stunning in a glittery jumpsuit during her New Year’s Eve performance in Nashville

Lainey Lainey Wilson had a great year in 2023. She celebrated it with style. The country singer performed at Nashville’s Big Bash New Year’s Eve with Thomas Rett, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Lainey, who looked stunning in a silver jumpsuit and cowboy hat with matching sparkles, rocked on stage, singing her hit songs “Grease,” ‘Heart Like a Truck’ and ‘Wildflowers and Wild Horses.

The public was not charged for the event that aired on CBS live on December 31. The Big Bash partnered up with the HERO Program (Homeless Education Resource Office), a Metro Nashville Public Schools program, to give back to homeless students.

In September, the “Heart Like a Truck”, singer was nominated in nine categories for Country Music Awards. Lainey won five awards, including Entertainer Of The Year. The Yellowstone actress was the first woman to win the award since 2011’s superstar Taylor Swift.

Lainey said on Instagram that she was thrilled to be nominated for each category. “And the much-coveted Entertainer Of The year category? It’s surreal. “We bust our butts on the road to give you the best show we can every night and I am having the time of my lifetime doing it.”

The “Watermelon Moonshine'” singer could not contain her emotion when she was announced as the Entertainer of the year.

Lainey, who was holding back tears as she gave her acceptance speech, said: “This is what I have always wanted to do. It’s all I know how do.” It feels like country is finally starting to love me again.

She tied the record for most awards in a single year, which was set by Johnny Cash back in 1969. Only two musicians have achieved the feat since then – Vince Gill and Alan Jackson.

Lainey’s new look also caught the attention of her fans when she shed 70 pounds in August. In a video she posted on Instagram, Lainey quickly dispelled rumors about her taking weight loss gummies.

Lainey replied to the trolls: “I’m certain that many of you have seen ads about my losing weight, hospitalization, and how I took some weight loss gummies, and blah, blah, blah, it saved me.”

The singer of “Things a Man Oughta know” added: “If I’ve lost weight, it’s due to the fact that I’m working hard, playing hour-and-a half shows, and running around all night long. To be honest, my music has nothing to do with me gaining or losing weight.”
